MARC record concept - what if MARC never existed? How would would structure our data. Thomas talked about the idea of storing all data in a normalised fashion, not MARCXML, stored in one way for indexing, one for display. Discussed looking into Tumer's approach. Historic reasons will make a move from MARC very very hard.
